USS Becuna (Cdr. H.D. Sturr, USN), USS Baya (Cdr. A.H. Holtz, USN) and USS Hawkbill (Cdr. F.W. Scanland, Jr., USN) arrived at Saipan. They were escorted in by USS Heed (Lt. M. Dent. Jr., USNR).
