History

Coast Guard manned.

Decommissioned 3 October 1945 and sold to Societe Anonima Navigazione Toscana at Livorno, Italy (Cameli group) in 1949. The ship was renamed Porto Azzurro (after a town on the Italian island Elba), and rebuilt as passengers and cargo ship in Italy for service from Leghorn - Piommbino and the islands of the Tuscan arcipelago : Elba, Pianosa, Capraia and Gorgona. She started her service, as merchant ship, in 1953 and finished it in 1972. She was scrapped at La Spezia in 1973.
