Arethuse torpedoed and sank the French merchant Dalny (6672 GRT) off Cape Cervo, Sardinia, Italy in position 41°08'N, 09°32'E.

9 Jan 1944
HMS Unseen (Lt. M.L.C. Crawford, DSC and Bar, RN) departed Algiers for passage to Gibraltar. She made the passage in convoy MKS 36 together with the French submarine Aréthuse. (1)
