May 1941
The Jobourg was leading a flotilla of minesweepers off Belfast under the command of Skipper William Conyers Batty RNR. It was caught in harbour on the night of the German air on Belfast in May 1941. At least one of the crew was killed and the skipper suffered injuries resulting in the loss of an arm.
