Notable events involving Holland include:

4 Jul 1942
HMAS Voyager (Lt.Cdr. R.C. Robison DSC, RAN) departed Fremantle to make rendezvous with the tanker USS Trinity (T/Capt. W. Hibbs, USN) well to the westward of Cape Leeuwin.

Rendezvous was effected around 1530H/6, in very heavy weather, in position 34°25'S, 108°12'E. Commenced escorting the tanker to Albany.

Around 1030H/9, they arrived at Albany. HMAS Voyager had sustained engine room and weather damage in the rough seas. Repairs were taken in hand by the ships staff with assistance from USS Holland (T/Capt. P.E. Pendelton, USN).

24 Jul 1942
HrMs Tromp (Cdr. J.B. de Meester, RNN) departed Albany as escort for the US submarine tender USS Holland (Cdr. P.E. Pendelton, USN) and the US submarines USS Seal (Lt.Cdr. K.C. Hurd, USN) and USS Saury (Lt.Cdr. L.S. Mewhinney, USN). (1)

25 Jul 1942
HrMs Tromp (Cdr. J.B. de Meester, RNN), USS Holland (Cdr. P.E. Pendelton, USN) and the US submarines USS Seal (Lt.Cdr. K.C. Hurd, USN) and USS Saury (Lt.Cdr. L.S. Mewhinney, USN) arrived at Fremantle.
