Your reference from Vom Original Zum Modell, indicates a Type
VII C boat. not a VIIB u-boat ?. As I believe Mr Wolf is building U-48,
a VIIB boat. U-48 was commissioned in Aug 1939 and was scuttled in
May 1945. So the change over with the red to the black preserves
were done sometime during her full time in active service.??
