Rainer,

added another photo of 2 more similar era and operation boats to my website:

u-73 and u-561

photo date september 1942 in La Spezia

found the photo on page 22 of "Vom Original zum Modell: Uboottype VIIC", caption is in german.

the boats don't have the same camo job as the U-83, but they do have similar conning towers. the angle of the photo clearly shows TWO ammo cannisters, which give definite understanding to the bulge on the lower half of conning tower.

I will post again if i find more.
