Hi Wiljan,
Don't forget the 'b' types had the wider deck extensions at the 10.5cm and the wave deflector just forward of the gun, just as the early 'c' types. Do not remember if U-Hardegen retained these features at the drumbeat operation. The first to go was the wave deflector, because it was useless on the surface and acted like a sea anchor underway submerged. Rgds, RB
