Thanks for the advice Rainer. I'll add a few barnacles to my 72nd scale model, but won't overdo it. Can you advise me what the purpose of the horizontal lines on the hull of Type VIIs were? They don't protrude out of the hull much but are approx. 1/32 inch wide in 72nd scale. They are really noticeable from quite a distance. Are they weld seams perhaps? Coming back to the topic, do you think rust would accumulate at the edges of these horizontal lines?
