Einsamer -

To make a great looking deck, start with a mix of Tamiya Deck Tan and Panzer Gray that is about the shade you like. Airbrush on a coat. When that is dry, mask off some planks and add more Gray. Keep going until you have a variety of planks with slightly different colour.

That should give you an effect of the real deck with different wood lots and different thckness of "paint". Just be sure that there are only slight differences in tone.

Harvey Low in our club used that techinque on his 1/700 scratch built Fuso and the results were very convincing.
