Has anybody else noticed something out of kilter with the relationship between the anchor recess and the flooding slots around it?
By checking with photos and drawings I have found that to get the bow area correct, the anchor recess has to be moved forward 5.5 mm, the row of flooding holes above it have to be filled and moved and the torpedo tube doors extend 7.5mm too far aft.. The 3 flooding slots at the extreme bow are far too big and as far as I can see from photos there should be 3 slots on the port side and 2 on the starboard.
I've spent a few days correcting these and it now looks a lot better. It is quite easy to grind out the back of all the flooding slots with a Dremel and a 5/16" round burr, doesn't take long and makes a big improvement to the appearance.
