Hi Ken,
My source was from a design study that was conducted after the war. It was called Surrendered German Submarine Report - Type IXC. It was done that the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. On the third page it said that the vessels on which it was possible to make personal observation are as follows:
IXC U-505
IXC40 U-530
IXC40 U-805
IXC40 U-858
IXC40 U-889
IXC40 U-1228
IXD2 U-873
XB U-234
XXI U-2513
XXI U-3008
It did not say just which boat the Small Arms Summary was taken from. I can\\\'t help you there, sorry. Can you shade some light on this?
