hi
i guess,that the arms on board were tailored to the task of every single mission.if there had to be some kind of land raid,they would have stored rifles etc.
for regular duty some pistols would have done the job.
one more thing:i think the arms were under close physical control of very trusted officers only.so i think there might have been a sort of arms traesure in the captains room or maybe within reach of the 1.wo. somewhere in the officers quarters.
