Thanks. The USS NAUTILUS (SSN-571) had serious "teething" problems when
conducting high-speed submerged runs. I'd like to quote page and line from
John Pina Craven's book THE SILENT WAR, but I have loaned it out to a friend.
He explains the problem and the "fix" that was to be included in all future Navy
submarine designs. The book should be available at libraries.
