<HTML>I'm researchng my mother's family tree and I've found out that My 1st cousin once removed (my mother's cousin); Leading Seaman FREDERICK ERNEST LEATHERBY (D/JX 136867) died on 25th June 1940 aged 24 on the HMCS Fraser in the collision with the Calcutta. I would love to find any additional information anyone might have on this sad incident. Also, I can't understand why he was serving on a Canadian ship? Does anyone have any background on the ship and / or the incident?</HTML>
