This link takes us to what appears to be a Canadian Army officer's report of the events, and is interesting to compare to the ship's captains report which Brian and I have read. I see that the ship is called "Denis" in the notes at the end section. I will look again in the archives to see if that name (right or wrong) produces any further leads. I'm not up on Landing Craft: can you tell me if LCV and LCM are the same basic craft, bearing in mind that one report was written by a British mariner and the other by a Canadian soldier?
