Are these Japanese records available somewhere, well, an English translation of them? The curious thing to me is that official U.S. Navy reports for years have claimed that Japanese records mention no attack on a submarine that could conceivably have been the Pompano. Yet this report seems to be exactly in the time frame and geographic location of Pompano.

Again, I don't want simply to refer to mysterious "Japanese records" unless I can cite a source, besides uboat.net.
