<HTML>Sorry, but pehaps my explanation ob the subject was a little confused.

The UC-48 was scuttled by the german crew (commander Lorenz and 5 ratings) when the submarine was leaving the dry-dock in order to get alongside the quai and be delivered to Royal Navy after being put on board the rudeers, shafts and diving plannes that were removed after her first intent of escape.
The place was the entrance of the El Ferrol Bay.
I havent my files here, but I remember that the depth was around 30 meters.
This was the second submarine that escaping fron spanish authorities.
