<HTML>Hi Bill, Hi Michael,

some time ago I've read about a German spy, named Kurt Jahnke, who placed a bomb in the boiler room of the USS SAN DIEGO, causing the loss of this great warship.
The mines laid by S.M. U 156 were so called T.K.-mines (torpedo caliber mines) with a warhead weight of 100 kg (50 % of a torpeo warhead). If the SAN DIEGO didn't struck more than only one mine it's hard to believe that such a great ship sunk by this cause, supposed the water tight doors were closed.
