U32 and UC22

I wreck of a steam ship of the Messageries Maritime line a couple of kilometres off the coast of Malta is said to be the result of a German U boat attack.
There seem to be two likely possibilites - either that ship is Le Karnak sunk by U32 or that the wreck is that of the Polynesian sunk by UC22.
Can anyone give an idea of how one may find a detailed account of anyone of these two attacks - or at least information on the side the ships suffered the damage on during the attack?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
