Jan-Olaf,

The question here is not a definition of survivor but a problem with the source we are using. The easiest source to use to get dead/survivor figures is Kemp's "U-Boats Destroyed." Unfortunately, in this case his figures are wrong. The page for UB 35 has been corrected.
