Michael, thanks very much. It helps to know that there weren't many variations since I am scratchbuilding a couple of WW1 boats and working from photographs to create the deck guns. Do you know of any drawings available?
It was a surprise to hear that the 37mm guns were captured British pieces: I will look again at the photos to see if I can recognize them and maybe track one down in a museum.
