Hi everyone,
Used to be a regular on the general forum, this is my first venture into ww1. I have a query.I've just watched a fascinating documentary on the fiasco that was the allied Gallipoli landing in 1915. It was mentioned that the appearance of a single German uboat caused the British fleet to up-anchor and head for the open sea. Considering the outcome of this campaign, would it not be fair to assume that this lone boat was possiblly one of the most effective uboats in history.
I would be grateful if someone could let me know which boat was responsible for creating such panic.
