Hello Clive,
Years ago you were correspondent with my sister Maryann Uechtritz about our ancestors aboard Bombala. Ours was Commander Lt. Bernhard Anderson. You gave her some great background, thanks.
Anyway I have logged in to see if there's any new information and saw your post. Did you have any responses? Have you found out any more beyond what you made available to us years ago?
My interest has been logged by my mother's passing and securing various photographs of our grand uncle Anderson. My research at the time also showed a poignant fact: that the Bombala (Willowbranch) was actually from the Nautilus shipping fleet - of which Bernhard's father Andrew Anderson was the Maine Superintendent.Andrew is my great grandfather.I am trying to find out more about him as well, actually. There is very little online.
Regards,
Max
