hello all
As mentioned in an earlier thread I have managed to obtain a first edition of "Raiders of the Deep".
I have been making my way through this book.
what is the opinion regarding the historical accuracy of this book?
There is an incident described where a U boat disappeared without a trace for 6th months but then it turned up drifting, 6 months later, with all the crew dead inside; almost like a 'ghost ship'.
is this a true incident?
I dont have the book at hand to give the number of the u boat involved, but I am sure fellow readers now the story I tell of.
I am very curious to hear others opinions on this book
many thanks
Dave
