Joe,
The Sept. 23 date for UB 6 is not at issue. That much is clear -- the action begins on one page of the KTB, which gives the time, location, name of the four lighters, and the name of a Dutch tug (Lauwerszee)...
It's possible that the Dutch history is confusing in part the two actions that Gouwzee was involved in.
