Hello Gregory,

I know this info : it appears regularly and comes in fact from the “Belgian Rijksarchief Brugge – Hoofdwaterschoutambt”. But it is base on testimonials of crewmembers out of that time and the related facts are not always correct.

The fact that the skipper received d the D.S.C is probably correct; lots of skippers in that time received it for courageous attitude facing the enemy at sea. Furthermore I have no more details about the attack of the O.35 "Alfred-Edith". Sorry.

The only thing I have is the list of names of the crew : Brouckxon Richard (skipper), Deprée Charles, Ocket August, Smissaert Karel, Cottriau Leopold, Braem Corneel, Devos Arthur, Coosemans Jan et Haegebaert Emiel.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Freddy.
