Dear Michael and Dan,

Thanks a lot for all these precisions.

So, if I understand you correctly, the idea of being sunk due to bioluminescence came only from the british claim, and can not be true for U-34.

Is anyone aware of bioluminescence being really implicated in the detection (and sinking) of marine ships ? Or is this just a hypothesis and a danger which boats try to avoid "just to not take the risk to be eventually be detected"?
