This is the place to discuss general issues related to the U-boat war or the war at sea in WWII.
Can't leave you people alone for a minute

<HTML>I've been around here for ages as well (usually remaining silent, as I am but an amateur, who enjoys reading the visions of his more learned co-enthousiasts), but I really fail to see what that has to do with anything.
Can't we all just get along, even with our differences of opinion? If we'd all think along the same lines, the world (and this board, too) would become a quite boring place.
And let's show some tolerance for those who post on this board in what is not their native language. Any Russian writing anything in English does better than I could in Russian, that's a sure thing. That should be applauded by the rest of us, not frowned upon.
I think, by the way, that this whole discussion was fired up over nothing at all. Yuri (as so often, I can't help but notice) just asked a question and immediately got a (sorry, but I can't call it otherwise) inflammatory answer that didn't answer the question but uttered some cold war rethoric. What for? If you have nothing useful to say, why not remain silent?
And what's that crap about 'If you don't like it here, piss off to Russia' ? Since when don't we allow criticism? You can say anything you like, as long as popular opinion agrees? In another era, this was known as 'gesundes Volksempfinden', do I really need to remind you of that? If you can't handle the principle of free speech, don't go on the web...</HTML>
