<HTML>You can probably get an argument about who really captured the boat from every ship in the task force. The late husband of one of my mother's friend was in Pillsbury, so you can guess which ship HE considered the true captor. There's at least one webpage where a Chatelain sailor asserts that it was HIS ship that actually captured U-505.
Probably easier to just say that Gallery captured her, since he was in overall command, and not try to credit any particular ship.
