<HTML>Endorsed, Jim !

Difficult to know what should go into a website. The line has to be drawn somewhere, I suppose ! What is there now is an absolutely brilliant introduction to the subject, for which I personally cannot thank Gummi enough; it contains so much already, that it`s difficult to see that it could be bettered without publishing the entire contents of several reference books as part of the site - which is surely re-inventing the wheel ? Now to build a formal link with the Archive, who don`t seem even to have email facilities at the moment, would be quite something........

BTW, there is mention of an Archive computer in the Archive`s May newsletter, and of Gummi `and the Chief Editor [of the newsletter] Jürgen Schlemm, ... maintaining a good number of webpages.` Any more information ? - and is the Archive planning to go on the net itself at some point ? It seems strange that, at the moment, of the two superb `resource centres` for U-boats, one is exclusively net-based and the other isn`t apparently on the net at all; a collaboration would indeed be tremendous !

Just the thoughts of a new-boy -

Best wishes

Frank
