<HTML>Hi all

I would like your thoughts on the following:
We are in the middle of war,and a u-boat that was getting prepared to sail for 2 months in her base for an uknown mission,is lost at all hands just after her sail due to an error?or sabotage? as she strucks on a mine of a German!!! minefield.
Two months after the loss a mission to dive her(in -80 meters depth!) is organized.
My question is:this dive 2 months later was made to see what?there was a report that they wanted to check for a possible salvage of the wreck, but a salvage of 750t,plus the water, in -80meters in 1942 is as I know a mission impossible.
The report of the diver is missing,as like as which was the last mission of the boat.
Any attempt to locate this diver was impossible and my conclusion is that he was either a technical war correspondant or a marine biologist.
The boat was inspected at her base just before leaving the port by high ranking officers of the Afrika corps and the Italian army!!!.
Another WWII mystery?
