Conventional u-boats (II, VII, IX Types) used the launching system I´ve
described in my previous post.As you can see the system didn´t throw air
(or air bubbles) into the sea.
Thus, bubbles or not bubbles it depends on the torpedo type.: ie compressed air torpedo or electric torpedo.
If someone saw a trail of bubbles, that´s was because the U-boat launched an compressed air torpedo.
