<HTML>A book called "Illustrated dictionary of North-East shipwrecks" has 10 sunken uboats listed. At least some of them seems to be off Tyne.....

U 50 - near Dogger Bank.
U 66 - near Dogger Bank.
UC 49 - off Sunderland.
UC 70 - off Whitby.
UB 110 - off Hartlepool.
U 29 - near Howick.
UB 30 - near Whitby.
UC 32 - E of Seaham.
UB 115 - off Blyth.
U 714 - in 28 metres of water at 55 57'00"N - 01 57'00"W.

In addition I found this:
1939
An unidentified U Boat was sunk by depth charges off the Tyne at
55 01'40"N - 01 18'52"W. An Admiralty report suggests that the wreck
is lying in a position N to S in 128ft of water, on colliery spoil and
is between 150 - 200ft long.


I have never checked these informations, so some of it may not be true......
