<HTML>I sailed on the Queen Mary in April 1943 from West Africa to Scotland. We had no surface escort but a Lockheed Hudson which appeared when we approached the British Coast. I understand however that the Queen Mary had a cruiser escort at one time which resulted in the HMS Curacao being rammed and sunk by the Queen Mary. Roy</HTML>
