I personally doubt these stories about AH having had this fixation about the Ark Royal, since his general lack of interest and understanding in naval matters was well known.
If he wanted her sunk, however, it would be understandable, after all her swordfish torpedo planes put a crimp into Bismarck's rudder, Sort of a tit for tat. Rgds, RB</HTML>
