<HTML>hmmm.....quite some of hq duties were outsourced later in the war to the flotilla hq`s.but there is still a point in what you say. he mentions this in his war diaries.
why he kept them out at sea? he says in his diaries that he wanted the war power of the ships and bombers tied to the fight of the subs and not freed to deliver destruction to german cities and civilians.good point.</HTML>
