<HTML>so cant be brenas. hirschfeld would have mentioned shootings in his diary. as i already mentioned the first artillery rounds onboard of u 109 were fired after 18.30 the following day -the 7TH!! Not the 6th. So this Brenas tanker was sunk by 108 how it seems. the pleasure to help you again is on my side.very nice site of yours that www.warsailors.com!

citation of the entries of the 6th translated in english:
currently off dakar near cap verde.a dark night,tropical and warm rain.the sight is bad according to this.the hunt for the fast ship cost much diesel. dive cell 2 is empty.it gets blown out now and will be used as dive cell insted of diesel cell.commander von schmidt of u 116 tells us that he has no diesel left for us. our captain is angry about this.the gentelman herr von schmidt didn`t stay to his promises.berthold seidel (nco) says for fun: if we see that there is not enough diesel left to come home, we got to rio for internment.gorgeous women,there.</HTML>
