Yes, they did build U-boats during the war & was closed for a long
number of years after the war..
Thysen Nordeseewerk restarted submarine contruction in the 1960\'s
They did build 15 Kobben class subs for the Royal Norwegian Navy
between 1962-68 and ten Type 206\'s for the Federal German Navy
between 1970- 75...?
Thyssen Nordeseewerk is also involved with a company called:
Howaldtswerke-Deutsch Werft (HDW) in updating 12 German Type
206 submarines to Type 206A.
