bruce, add to info from your other replies. when u-571 was sunk by a sunderland from 461 sqn raaf on 28/1/44 survivers were reported swimming in the water. however none of these were reported picked up, so the whole crew of 52 including the captain, gustav lussow were lost. regards, schalke.
