<HTML>One of my Christmas gifts was the book Battle of Wits, author Stephen Budiansky. It is the story of Codebreaking in World War II. I recommend this book highly, complete documentation by time frames of all participants. You will find all the information you seek regards the enigma machine including acquiring rotors and codebooks. Fin, this is a must for you . It is mind boggling how far behind the Allies were in cryptology compared to the Germans and Japanese in the early years of the war.
