Hello,

My name is Tom Dent born (16/12/1941 and live in Australia. My late parents Thomas A Dent and Audrey Dent plus my late sister Frances Dent(then aged 11 months) all sailing on the 'Western Prince ex New York were rescued by the 'Baron Kinnaird' late afternoon on 14/12/1940 and landed at Gourock on 18th December 1940. My parents were born in 1913 & 1914 respectively and passed away around 2001 & 2002. My late parents told me much regarding the sinking and after extensive research I have just completed a 7/8 page paper after exhaustive research for the family records on the sinking & subsequent rescue.

I would be interested in hearing from descendants of the survivors (Passengers or Crew) as one can never have enough facts / anecdotes re this event some 82 years ago. I have a large amount of original material, which may be useful for some interested parties.
