According to Lloyds she was attacked and damaged by the Luftwaffe on the 20th at pos 59n 02w and abandoned, she was then sunk by U-boat while under tow by tug the next day. According to Rohwer the KTB of U 57 does not report an attack on that day while U 22 was lost on the 23rd at pos 57:30n09:00e. Wynn states U 57 was responsible however sinking her E of Copinsay, Orkney.
