Do you know what the reasons were for the Kriegsmarine disguising their own naval supply ships as US ships? Was it simply to evade attack or was there also a propaganda motive?
Regarding the photo I posted, is the U-boat in the middle-ground U-107? If so, I'm wondering what the vessel is in the foreground on which the sailors are stood.
