Hi Richard,

Thanks for jogging my memory, My error.

Both are sad cases. The sinking of HMS/M E 3 leads directly to a British war crime where Kptlt Bernd Wegener and some of the crew of SMU 27 were murdered/executed by the Brits.
The other case is sad because the two commanders were good friends.
