Hi Bruce

I checked the KTB of U96 for dates and places that you requested. I was doing some
research in the Deutsches U-Boot-Museum-Archiv and discovered that the KTB for U96
ended in February 1943. U96 was removed from combat duty and transferred to training duties as a school boat. I found no evidence that U96 was involved in evacuation of the Eastern Provinces. There was no KTB record book for this U-boat
after February 1943.

Regards
Denis
