Hello all.

Just one small query. The person in the photo is an OLzS as pointed out earlier by Simon S and is a commander as per the white cap. Gert Hetschko was promoted to a KL on 1/4/41, but didn't obtain his first command (U453) until 26/6/41 and only took command of U121 on 9/7/41? I could understand a commander not wearing up-to-date rank insignia if he were promoted whilst at sea but Gert Hetschko never went on an operational patrol until 1943.
