Kew Gardens Research introuctions, tips? 24 UK ships hit in Bahamas area 1942

Can anyoone suggest contacts, tips, advice on researching survivor interviews / narrativs at Kew Gardens national archive in London? I have one day - Sat. 30 Jan. 2011 there (visiting from NY).
The following 14 UK Flag ships hit by U-Boats or Italians under Betascom, mostly in Mar-July 1942 in the Bahamas / Bermuda Triangle area? Here are specifics I seek survivor fates for:

OCEAN VENUS 7,174 steam freighter UK 9,450 tons general cargo, incl. 4000 t lead, 4000 t lumber, 1000 t canned herrings and 80 tons acetone 42 5 37 37

DAYTONIAN 6,434 steam ship UK 59 1 58 58 (landed in Nassau, Bahamas then Miami)
STANDELLA 6,197 tanker UK oil and spirits 58 6 52 52 (remained on board, enroute Curacao to Reykjavik)
STANGARTH 5,966 steam freighter UK Goverment stores and general cargo 46 0 46 U-504 and Morosini claimed this ship
STANBANK 5,966 steam freighter UK 6,488 military stores 48 9 39 survivors landed Bermuda by RHEXENOR, freighter after 10 days. Hit by U-103, Werner Winter on 5 May 42
HARPAGON 5,710 steam freighter UK 8,017 tons gnl cgo incl. aircraft, explosives, tanks 49 41 8 34.45N, 65.50W, was enroute NY-Cape Town-Bombay. 8 survivors picked up by RIO DIAMANTE, taken to Buenos Aires
ANGLO SAXON LIFEBOAT 5,594 tramp freighter UK Welsh coal 41 39 2 2
PUTNEY HILL 5,216 motor freighter UK ballast 38 3 35 The master, 29 crew members and five gunners were picked up after ten days by HMS Saxifrage (K 04) (LtCdr R.P. Chapman) and landed at San Juan, Puerto Rico.Â

E. P. THERIAULT 326 sailing ship UK pitch pine 10 0 10 24.30N, 83.55W, Tampa, Cayman, Kingston Jamaica - crew of 10 estimated for size of ship, shelled and attempt to scuttle her, but got away
VIVIEN P. SMITH 130 schooner (2 masts) UK 260 tons of salt from Turks & Caicos 11 0 11 11 (not sure where survivors were landed)
VERGERMERE steam yacht RN Auxil. UK general cargo 0 46 survivors of Potlatch taken from Acklins to Nassau in speedy fashion
SANDE 60 sailing ship Honduras 10 5 5 estimates only
CYGNET 3,628 freighter Greek general cargo 30 0 30 30
