Heh, as a side-step me and Juergen in 1997 set up a very efficient system for debugging and maintaining the site; \"The Beer System\".
It works like this; if I do some work on the system and if anyone finds a bug with it I owe him/her a beer and vise versa. This is the most effective debugging method known to man, each of us scans the data like hungry wolves in hopes of finding \"a beer\"
Roughly annually me and Juergen would then meet (first in Iceland and then in Germany) and settle the bill
When Tonya joined our little crew she fell into this as well of course
So if I see a subject line in my e-mail like \"A beer for me\" - I know what\'s coming Also \"a beer\" in the data seems somehow more \"benign\" than a \"mistake\"
Some people think that the real purpose of the database engine was to run and compile data on who owed who beers, and then to display data on the subject of naval warfare in WWII. This has never been proved
This could of course be extended to the Members as well
I am grateful for the overall positive feedback and understanding of this MA idea, already I have given some 15 people temporary access to the area - just waiting to hear what they report back.
