Want to come back to the start of this thread: Topp and U3010.

Had an exchange of emails on the subject with others, and Dr.Axel Niestlé provided the definitiv answer: a copy of a document titled "Verhandlung über Übergabe des Unterseebootes U3010".
The header/origin reads "Kommando 4.U-Fl" and "An Bord, den 8.März 1945.".
The document bears the signature of both Ebert, "Der Übergebende", and Topp, "Der Übernehmende", and states that Topp took over from Ebert as CO U3010 March 8, 1945.
